Spring 2012 color trends

This spring there are some key color trends beside the basic black, brown, white and traditional summer colors. Coral/orange is very popular in ready to wear clothing and in shoes. It has become one of the new neutrals as it pairs nicely with denim, and earth tones, whites and of course colors of the same family in your clothing. Another color trend is anything in a nude/neutral tone. If the shoe blends with the foot, you can wear it with almost any color. A third color trend that hit a few years ago and is not going away is metallic. Metallic, whether it be silver, pewter, or gold, can also be paired with almost any color pallet in your wardrobe.While we of course, have classics like black, brown, and white, it’s fun to see what else you can add to your wardrobe this spring.

1st spring picks

One of Cathy’s favorites this spring is this stylish wedge by Indigo. Having and loving the version from last year, I thought it was appropriate that I get another style this year. Super padded and comfortable makes the wedge seem not so high. Love it with skirts and capris!

MaryBeth–one of our “newbies” loves this little flat ballet shoe from Archopedico. With it’s external arch support and soft leathers it is perfect to wear all day, even if walking or on your feet all day. The colors are what makes it so fun also!

Nancy and Katie both own this great little flat from Clarks. It is a perfect shoe to go with dress pants, skirts, and capris. The classic ballet style is updated with a little peep toe to make it a bit more spring like.

Lorie-our other “newbie”- has been sucked into the Sperry styles. This classic boat shoe is now all the rage again and comes in a variety of colors.

Sharon really likes this new lightweight barefoot shoes from New Balance. This style gives your foot coverage, but it’s lightweight material makes it extremely summer-like. Super cute with capris and shorts.

Liz has been wearing this canvas slip on from Cushe and loves it! With jeans and jean capris it adds some fun to her feet. Super lightweight and comfortable, cushe brand is all about being unique and different.

Roger, our faithful male, (poor Roger with all these women) has also picked the Cushe shoe. The men also have a version on this canvas slip on. This is grat for all you guys who want a barefoot slip on for the spring and summer.

Loose those winter Blues!

Well, 2012 is upon us. While we have been experiencing warm weather, the cold is sure to come–tonight they say! We still have boots left for those of you who have put it off so long. Many of our boot styles are 20% off. While most of our UGG styles are regular price, they are sure to keep your feet warm and cozy the rest of the winter and for MANY years to come.

Now that cooler weather is upon us, we can get out one of our favorite things—boots! Tall boots, short boots, heels and flats. Pair them with any type of jeans, skirts and leggings. Any way you wear them, you will be set to go this fall.

The change of seasons….

A new season will soon be upon us. The nights are cooler, the days are sadly, shorter. The good news is, Borr’s has lots of great new shoes coming in for fall. If you can’t wait to get out your jeans and boots this season will be for you! Tall boots riding style boots from UGG will be in shortly, dress boots from Clark, Born, Indigo and others too, something will be sure to fit your style. For those of you who aren’t into the boot look, don’t worry! We will have plenty of great shoes from old favorites like Clark, Naot, Born, Indigo, Keen, and others. We will also have some great shoes from some new lines like Tsubo, Arcepedico, Naya, Cushe, and Ahnu. Be sure to stop in the next few weeks as things are coming in daily.

This wedge from Indigo has become one of my all time favorites! I love everything from the style to the height to the comfort! It’s great worn with jeans, skirts, capris or summer pants.

Tracy's pick of the month

There is nothing like a metallic shoe to go with any outfit. Being the new neutrals, you can put metallics, pewter in particular, with just about anything from denim, to black, blue, white, even some tans and browns.

Roger's pick of the month

Well, this Teva sandal is a no-brainer for many guys. It’s comfortable, it’s function able, and it’s affordable. Put this on this summer and it will be about the only one you need (except maybe your work shoe)

Nancy's pick of the month

This cute sandal is one of the many Clark “Unstructured” styles that we have. It features a supportive, cushioned insole, lambskin lining, cute details with the contrasting stitching, and all around great looks. Perfect for everyday wear with shorts or capris.

Liz's pick of the month

How cute is this Born sandal??? A simple,flat sandal that is so versatile and comfortable. I love the flower on the top, especially since this is not too big, and lays nicely on the top of the foot. Awesome look with summer sundresses.

Sharon's pick of the month

Another two styles from the Clarks “Unstructued” line–these both feature the same great support, soft lambskin linings and in addition, have such cute details! The flowers on the right are accented with black patent for a nice “pop”. The left style has a great array of beads that really give it a unique look. Great to wear with shorts, capris, or summer sundresses. Both available in other colors as well.
